The Diamond VRL is not just a simple CO2 laser. This laser is the only laser available that can drive the Diamond Scalpel. It is uniquely built to deliver a pure Quasi Gauss beam down our proprietary wave guide to the end of our Diamond Scalpel. This allows for a consistent and dependable delivery of low level laser energy to the diamond faces resulting in clean coagulation while cutting.
The Free Beam Hand Piece is an optional accessory for the DiamondVRL which allows the surgeon to treat larger vessels and reduce larger areas of tissue. This hand piece allows the application of DiamondVRL energy with the ease and smoothness of a fine paint brush. The Free Beam can also be used for additional homeostasis of larger blood vessels.
While this technology is excellent for vaporizing tissue the associated thermal damage precludes its use for incisions and the fine dissections of delicate structures such as the labia.
